The Market Maker

New leadership in a foreign government needed a market maker to rebuild a resource commodity industry from depleted infrastructure and lost expertise.

McHale diagnosed: the export and supply-chain constraints; forecasted moves from government-led entities; step sanction and regulatory quality volume constraints and timelines by market; and three key global trends carving out a hole in the market.

He shifted a global distribution strategy into a concentrated niche to dominate specific lanes, customers, and small markets. This held costs down, mitigated voyage risk and turn times, and exploited a cost advantage too small for the giants to defend.

He delivered, pitched, and closed it with a prominent global trading player that added a desk to implement the full go-to-market strategy. Lionshare Sovereign is his sandbox to collaborate with market-movers and take their opportunity to the next level.
